Our group is getting bigger and more closer than ever , is so nice to have this group an share our journey to our daughter together, it's like having an extend family. Meiling and Leah having fun with Elvis and Jesse, two of my furry babies that went to the reunion.
I got a surprise yesterday waiting for my, the brown envelope arrived. Still I have to wait about 20? months, but is nice to get something about Emily's adoption. In step of sending me all the documents they sent me a paper with the list of documents to be download, a way to same time for them, I guess.
Emily is going to get most of the things Sarah is wearing know, but I want to get some special pieces for her, because she is as special as Sarah is, and I'm waiting for her with the same love as I did with Sarah. So at the conference I got a lotus t-shirt , christmas ornament and a book dedicated for her.
One of the speakers and adoptive mom from china. Me and Sarah enjoying the conference. Not to interest, during the lifebook seminar. Sarah taking notes for her mei mei. Last weekend Sarah and I attended the East meets West conference in tampa. We had the opportunity to meet fellow april LID and other waiting parents, plus the conference were very good I learned a lot about the process and got 8 hours of Haugue , need to more and done with that part. Sarah got the opportunity to share with other adoptive girls, something she can't do where we live, since she's the only one so far.
5 month down 30 + to go, yep the wait it's getting longer and longer, even the agency don't know when the waiting time will go faster. Since that's the scenario I made a list of the pros and cons of the long wait.
Pros: 1. I will have more one on one time with Sarah. 2. Financially 3. Sarah will be able to enjoy more the process of having a little sister. 4. I can do some remodeling to the house. 5. Loose some weight ( I want to be able t0 go to the top of the Great Wall) 6.Go to more dog shows. 7. Time to learn chinese for the trip. 8. Two toddlers at the same time it wont be easy. Cons: 1.The updating of the documents. 2. The waiting 3. Knowing that I have a daugther far away and not been able to see her. 4. I want to see her NOW!
Good news from China, the documents are moving faster, my dossier is in the review room, so if things keep going that way the waiting time could be shorter than expected.
Yesterday we went to Fili's house, this is suppose to be Emily's blog, but since there are nothing new on her lets talk about dogs again. So uncle Fili came from a judging gig in New Zeland so he invite us to see the photos and of course talk about our favorite theme dogs. We had a great time he made a wonderful meal as always and the weather was very fresh . These are a few of Filis Rhodesian Ridgeback. Sarah messing his library. The two of theme checking some books.
Nothing on the adoption side again, so Ill talk dogs my other love. On sunday Sarah and I went to a reunion of our dog club, it was held at Rafael house , he lives in the middle of the mountains and have one of the most incredible view of the city. It was so fresh and relaxing we had a great time while we plan for t he next show, I hope my dogs will be ready for december when the show will be held. This is hercules one of Rafael show dogs. The next show hopefuls Oscar and Coco. Where we are with Miss Coco Channel having some quality time. Siblings playing while Ruby's watch.
Another month gone, my documents are on translation right now, for what I have read it will take a year to go to the review room and them the to the matching room, if things go the way there going right know it will take me two more years or more to see my Emily.
No adoption news, but two of my girls (chloe and Hazel) went back to work, they are models, so yesterday they to a TV program to model a few outfits. I could not watch the program, but these were two of the outfits they wore. Like all famous models they always come home with some of the outfits.Chloe and Hazel
My prince Tristan got a new friend, a bambi stuff animal it was Sarah's but she's throwing her stuff out of her crib and Tristan saw Bambi on the floor all alone and he put it in his bed and now he watch his Bambi all the time.
This is a result of three weeks in Vietnam, I did not realize that Agatha was on heath so Jake made his mood and heres the result 3 girls and 1 boy, I only hope they turn out healthy and happy. So sweet babies WELCOME TO THE WORLD!
Second month gone, the status of my documents: pending for translation. No worries will keep on waiting. I was hoping that Sarah and Emily will be about a year or two a part, if not at least Sarah will be at least three and she will be able to go to China and understand the process and help with the bonding.
In other note HAPPY FATHERS DAY, specially to my dad and my brothers Juan and Frankie who are great dad's.
